COLOURPOP First Impression

After hearing so many wonderful things about the new brand COLOURPOP I thought I just had to try them for myself. I snagged a coupon code for 5$ off from YouTube star Kathleenlights and visited their site. to my surprise everything was very affordable. Most items are only 5$. And everything is made in L.A.! I was looking for a peachy coral lipstick and a fun eyeshadow color that I could wear alone.
I ordered a Lippie Stix in Fiesta and a Super Shock eyeshadow in Sequin.

This color, fiesta, is beautiful and bright, especially on fair skin but I can see any skin tone wearing it. The pigment is very oppac and the formula is creamy and buttery. It is a creamy matte finish. It has a wonderful scent of vanilla and marshmellows! It claims to be long lasting and hydrating as well. I love the packaging too. The applicator makes it very easy to apply. Much more than traditional tubes. Make sure to exfoliate your lips before applying, the opacity of this product can exaggerate dry lips.

This Super Shock eyeshadow is called Sequin and I just think it’s a gem! Get a gander at those sparkling top notes! The color is best described as a coppery rose gold with monochrome glitter. Best part is the glitter doesn’t fall out all over your face. The best way to apply this is with a finger. No joke! And the pigmentation is bold! The texture of this shadow is almost creamy, not powdery or chalky at all, yet somehow it’s still very blendable. I don’t know how they did it over there at COLOURPOP!

Here are the swatchs, each was just one swipe! I think they will look great together in one look don’t you?

The best part is they blew me away with this cute hand written note! So sweet! I will definitely be ordering more items asap!
